About

Osceola YMCA Learning Center – Early Learning, VPK, and Before & After School Programs offers activities such as swim lessons, basketball, soccer, volleyball, STEAM projects, arts and crafts, literacy activities, hands-on experiments, organized sports activities, and free play sessions. The program includes Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) as a 540-hour program and offers before and after school care with academic support and recreational activities. Children in the program participate in learning through play using hands-on activities, interactive games, creative exploration, and engaging play opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

• Ages: 2–12 years old
• Schedule: General hours Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm, with up to 10 hours of care available each day and a 540-hour VPK program

The program operates as an Early-Childhood Learning Center with an indoor gym and spacious outdoor fields, and uses state-of-the-art facilities equipped with age-appropriate resources and learning materials, including classrooms described as nurturing and inspiring. Early learning and childcare programs at this center include a focus on brain development, early literacy, healthy habits, kindergarten readiness in the VPK program, and primary weekly care for preschoolers and school-aged children centered around YMCA core values. The program uses the Frog Street Curriculum, which is designed around early brain development research for newborn children to kids ages 5 and older, and follows a play-based learning philosophy that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development, along with Conscious Discipline to support social-emotional development and relationship building.

Staff at Osceola YMCA Learning Center meet all DCF licensing standards and requirements, and class sizes are in compliance with DCF regulations, with low teacher/student ratios. The program accepts 4C School Readiness and offers part-time and full-time care, electronic payments online, and wrap-around VPK care options before and/or after regular VPK hours. Before and after school care includes homework support, and families in this program receive priority access to sports and other programming. Spanish-speaking team members are on-site, and the environment is described as inclusive and welcoming, celebrating diversity and promoting inclusivity, and as much more than a daycare.

The Learning Center has been providing high-quality, affordable early education programs to young children for more than a decade. The mission of the Association is to improve lives of all in Central Florida by connecting individuals, families, and communities with opportunities based on Christian values that strengthen spirit, mind, and body. The organization has a presence and partnerships across Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Seminole, Lake, and Marion counties to deliver positive change.
