Osceola YMCA Learning Center – Early Education, VPK, and Before & After School Programs offers homework support, STEAM projects, arts and crafts, literacy activities, hands-on experiments, organized sports activities, and free play sessions. The program includes Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) and wrap-around VPK care before and/or after VPK operating hours, as well as before and after school care with academic support and recreational activities. Children learn through a play-based approach that uses the Frog Street Curriculum and Conscious Discipline.

• Schedule: 10 hours of care available from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM; VPK is a 540-hour program
The program offers primary weekly care for preschoolers and school-aged children centered around YMCA core values, with part-time and full-time care options. The VPK program focuses on kindergarten readiness by enhancing pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills, and emphasizes academic readiness, social readiness, independence, communication skills, and partnering with parents. Children have access to an indoor gym, spacious outdoor fields, and state-of-the-art facilities with age-appropriate resources and learning materials, in classrooms described as nurturing and inspiring, with a safe, wholesome environment.
Staff meet all DCF licensing standards and requirements, and the team includes experienced educators, experienced team members, and Spanish-speaking team members on-site. Class sizes follow DCF regulations and maintain low teacher/student ratios. The Learning Center has been providing high-quality, affordable early education programs to young children for more than a decade and is described as much more than a daycare. The mission highlights a holistic approach, with early learning and childcare programs that support brain development, early literacy, and healthy habits in an inclusive and welcoming environment that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusivity. 4C School Readiness is accepted, and electronic payments are available online, with priority access to sports and other programming for Before & After School families.
