Camp Fire Sunshine is part of Camp Fire, which has been an innovative leader in youth development since 1910. The program follows the Camp Fire mission that young people want to shape the world and that, in Camp Fire, it begins now.
Camp Fire’s stated mission is that Camp Fire provides the opportunity for young people to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are. Camp Fire Sunshine is recognized as one of the best summer camps in Lakeland. The organization offers community service opportunities for teens and adults. One parent, Chrissanne Long, shared that there are many things to share about the Camp Fire organization and all it does for young leaders in the community, and noted that Camp Fire staff and supporters take their role seriously.
