About

Destination Aviation includes experiential learning opportunities with hands-on activities related to aviation. The program features flight simulation and a 30-minute local exploratory flight with a certified flight instructor, where campers observe the application of concepts and skills learned during camp. Destination Aviation is intended for middle school students and allows campers to learn and engage in aviation-related career fields.

• Ages: 11–14 years old
• Schedule: Includes a 30-minute local exploratory flight during the session

The program’s mission is to “Engage, Educate & Accelerate The Next Generation of Aerospace Professionals.” Each week of Destination Aviation is differentiated and changes in complexity of material based on age. Experienced instructors lead the program, and a certified flight instructor conducts the exploratory flight. Aerospace Center for Excellence, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, runs the program, and community support allows it to create a pathway to success through aviation for thousands of young people each year. Registration opens on November 1, 2025.
