About
The Year-Round Academic Enrichment Program includes an After School Program, Summer Bridge Camp, Summer AEP (Academic Enrichment Program), and tutoring or academic help. The program offers a Young Adult Program & Workforce Lab and year-round academic enrichment. High school students in the program completed financial courses and opened bank accounts as of 2025.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: After School Program on school days Monday–Friday, with volunteer opportunities Monday–Thursday from 4:15–5:45 p.m.; Summer Bridge Camp sessions on June 2–3, 2026 from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., with a volunteer summer camp slot on June 3, 2026 from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Marking 30 years of ministry in Lakeland’s Parker Street neighborhood, the program serves K–12th children living within the Parker Street neighborhood as defined by Memorial Boulevard to the In Town bypass and South Florida Ave to Ingraham Ave. The mission of Parker Street Ministries is to participate in the vision of God’s love through Gospel-centered community development, focusing on fostering spiritual growth, supporting lifetime learners through educational opportunities, stabilizing the neighborhood by addressing housing quality and availability, and cultivating connections so gaps in relationships and services are bridged. The Dwelling brings together individuals and organizations committed to this Gospel-centered community development and is built by monthly donors, and residents volunteered in 2025.
