About
Skill Samurai offers weekly enrichment classes and holiday programs where students take part in coding, robotics, digital literacy classes, game design, AI, and app development. The program also offers a Pokémon school holiday class, MathCode™ Mastery (an integrated maths and coding program), math tuition, birthday parties, special events, in school programs, and Olympiad-style competitions in coding, AI, maths, and video production.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekly classes are held the same day and time each week and are offered year-round; holiday camps offer half, full, and multi-day camps, and the 2-Week Future Coder Challenge includes 2 full sessions.
• Price: The 2-Week Future Coder Challenge requires a $50 refundable deposit.
Skill Samurai offers a free trial class that includes a skill assessment and consultation, with small group sessions of up to 8 kids for the trial. Classes use personalized learning paths and personal curriculum plans, and weekly sessions are project-based and self-paced, with easy makeup class options. Memberships are month-to-month with no contracts, and holiday camps use an art, science, and technology-based format with fresh content every session, plus sibling, group, and multi-day discounts. The MathCode™ Method combines curriculum-aligned math lessons with computer programming. The program offers coding and robotics enrichment classes for kids to young adults, a collaborative class culture, and a safe check in process with trained adult educators, not teenagers.
Since 2015, Skill Samurai’s curriculum has been used to help kids, and for 10 years the company has been delivering creative camps worldwide. Since 2017, Skill Samurai has been working to empower students’ lives through education. The franchise owner for Ashmore is Richard.
Skill Samurai states that it teaches future-ready skills that prepare kids not just for school but for life, and that every child deserves the tools to thrive in a digital world, not just consume it. The program states that it teaches real skills, through real relationships, in real classrooms.
Skill Samurai has sponsored international projects including teaching sewing and business skills to women in Bangladesh, orphanage construction in India, and educating children in Nairobi. It also partners with local schools to deliver classes during the day and after school.
Parent feedback includes comments that a child with ASD has grown in confidence and ability in the classes and is eager to keep attending, mentioning Richard’s patience, kindness, and encouragement. Another parent reports that their child loved the Pokémon school holiday class and was proud to show their work, and another notes that their child attended two days of holiday programs and had a fantastic time, describing the program as focused on helping kids learn, grow, and work together.
