Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County offers activities such as making jewelry, art projects, turning old fabric into fun clothing items, and sewing. At the B&GC of Lehigh, one member spends time making jewelry, art, and creating clothing items from old fabric with friends and youth counselors, after finishing homework each day before group activities and programs begin.

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County is to enable all young people, especially those who need the program most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of America began in 1860 with three women in Hartford, Connecticut: Mary Goodwin, Alice Goodwin, and Elizabeth Hammersley. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation registered pursuant to Chapter 496, Section 496.405 of the Florida Statutes. Across the Boys & Girls Clubs of America family, nearly 4 million children and teens are served.
