• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Held primarily during school breaks in the winter, spring, and summer

Founded in 1952, Beaux Arts is a 100% female-run volunteer non-profit whose mission is to encourage an understanding and appreciation of the arts in South Florida and support the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami. Beaux Arts continues to expand the year-round class offerings connected to this program, and the proceeds benefit the Lowe Art Museum. Beaux Arts’ funding has made admission to the Lowe Art Museum free for all beginning in 2021.

Beaux Arts was founded in 1952 and has supported a range of art initiatives over the decades, including launching the Virgil Baker American Art Collection for the Lowe Art Museum in 1965, introducing “HandsOn! – A Children’s Celebration in Art” in 1987, and adding the Student Artist Showcase to the Beaux Arts Festival of Art event weekend in 2002. In 2013, Beaux Arts doubled the size of the HandsOn! program and hosted over 700 elementary school children, and in 2014 it brought this art appreciation program to children residing at the Chapman Partnership Homeless Shelter and made a $1.5 million donation to the University of Miami. Beaux Arts was honored by the University of Miami Alumni Association with the White Award in 2011, and the Beaux Arts Festival of Art is recognized as one of the leading art shows in the country and attracts acclaimed artists from all over the world.

Through its community involvement, Beaux Arts supports the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami and funds programs that bring underserved kids from all over Miami-Dade County to the museum for a day of fun and learning. This support enables students from Title 1 elementary schools and CHARLEE Homes for Children to visit the museum free of charge with paid transportation. Beaux Arts proudly welcomes the acclaimed art director, Dr. Jill Deupi, as the new Beaux Arts Director and Chief Curator of the Lowe Art Museum.
