Children’s Home Society of Florida – Ready to Grow (Prenatal–Age 5) is part of Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Community Impact Model. The program is connected to a cradle-to-career approach that brings education, healthcare, family support, and economic opportunity together for children and families. It focuses on the period from prenatal development through age five, when a child’s brain grows faster than at any other time in life and when, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (Administration for Children and Families), 80% of brain development occurs.

Children’s Home Society of Florida reports that 99% of children and families enrolled in its programs remain safely at home together, free of abuse and neglect. The organization states that prenatal care, parent education, good nutrition, and stable home environments support healthy brain development, and that high-quality early learning programs like preschool and prekindergarten build the cognitive, social, and emotional skills children need to succeed in school and beyond. The organization also states that when support starts early, children enter kindergarten ready to learn and ready to thrive.
