Little Swimmers was founded in 1996 by Gerald Little and Meric Tendrich and has expanded over more than 20 years to include three locations, with over 30 years of trusted experience. The program is described as South Florida's premier swimming school and Miami's number one swim school, and it is family owned and operated. It offers a diverse range of courses for all ages and skill levels, with all ages welcome from 8 months to adults, and provides private classes only at Somerset Bay and Dadeland.
All Little Swimmers instructors use a comprehensive water safety program created by the founders and are certified instructors. The leadership and ownership team includes Founder Gerald Little, Founder Meric Tendrich, and Owners Alvaro Nuñez, Karina Anania, and Harold Preciado. Harold Preciado is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's degree from the University of Miami. The program is recognized as one of the safest and most effective methods for teaching children and adults how to swim and is safety-focused, with safety-first instruction led by experienced professionals.
