• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., plus Saturday 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

Camp Embark offers year-round adventures for children ages 5 to 14, including Summer, Spring, and Winter seasons, with field trips during the second and third week of a season to places that inspire adventure and curiosity. The camp holds camp-wide seasonal events such as a Winter Wonderland Festival, Spring Carnival, Spirit Fridays, Talent Shows, and an End-of-Summer Showcase, and it offers flexible schedules and extended care. The camp is nut-free, with catered lunch supplied by a local restaurant, and meals change daily to provide variety, with a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1–8 and a Staff-in-Training program available for rising seniors.

Staff members are at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or are rising seniors who have completed the Staff-in-Training program and been invited to apply early. Staff go through personal interviews, reference checks, background checks including a Level 2 Background check for criminal activity, a clearance request from DCF (Child Protective Services) for child abuse and neglect, and a Voluntary Disclosure Statement. Staff receive additional specialized training to certify in archery, Basic Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, diversity inclusion, fishing, entrepreneurship, woodworking, and more, and the camp administration team collectively has over 30 years of child care experience.

Camp Embark’s stated mission is to stimulate campers to inspire adventure, creativity, and growth, to promote independence and responsibility, and to encourage resilience by building solid personalities, with the goal that campers are free yet skilled at navigating the complexities of life. One parent, Andrelle Franck, shared that the boys “had a blast” and described Camp Embark as “simply the best.” Another parent, Natalie Dabbraccio, reported that her son attended for almost all of summer 2022, mentioned activities such as horse rides, bouncy houses, fishing, and art, and stated that “the activities were endless” and that they “can’t wait to go back.” A third parent, Teresa Williams, wrote that her kids “LOVEEEEEE this camp,” noted that the director and staff are “loving and kind,” and said their days were filled with activities, sports, and art that her kids enjoyed so much she extended their time from a few days to an additional week.
