About
American Dance Training Camps (ADTC) offers overnight dance camps and online dance programs that include dance classes, talent nights, a Dance Idol Competition, and an end-of-week show. Camp activities described by parents include girls’ night out where campers dress up and go out to dinner in town, a day at the beach at Boulder Reservoir with paddle boarding, swimming and hanging out, and excursions or field trips with options like kayaking and zip-lining. ADTC also offers a Free Zoom Dance Camp (triple-threat boot camp) and Spring Break Dance Camps focused on contemporary, hip hop, jazz, and hip hop/street dance.
• Ages: 8–17 years old
• Schedule: Free Zoom Dance Camp on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 2–5pm EST; Spring Break Dance Camps run for 5 days with 90 minutes of live instruction/discussion plus 30 minutes of self-paced practice per day
Over the course of 5 days, dancers in the Jazz Dance for Teens (Intermediate/Advanced) Spring Break Dance Camp learn 2–3 intermediate/advanced jazz dance combinations, and dancers in the Hip Hop/Street Dance 101 Spring Break Dance Camp learn 2–3 dance combinations. Styles of jazz in the Jazz Dance for Teens Spring Break Dance Camp may include Broadway, lyrical, modern or contemporary/funk, and routines are set to upbeat, popular songs and incorporate turns, kicks, jumps, body isolations, rhythmic awareness and the dancer’s own expression/style. Hip Hop/Street Dance 101 fuses traditional jazz with hip hop and includes street dance techniques such as popping, locking, African, house and funk. Spring Break Dance Camps include theme days Tuesday through Friday for camper spirit, and recordings are available on-demand after each class.
The Free Zoom Dance Camp is for girls ages 8–17, features 3 different ADTC choreographers, and divides dancers into groups by age and ability, with practice videos emailed after classes. Spring Break Dance Camps feature world class dance instructors and top-notch dance instructors, and at overnight camps the Dance Idol Competition is described as the highlight of the week for campers. The summer team is trained to empower girls, and world class dance teachers lead 1-hour classes that include a warm-up, technique and fresh choreography. Campers have access to traditional activities typically found at summer camp, and girls choreograph their own dances and perform for each other as well as in the end-of-week show.
ADTC describes itself as a tight-knit, all-girl community where campers are not bombarded by confusing media images and have the opportunity to reconnect with their authentic selves. The dance camps attract girls from every corner of the United States and all over the world, with most campers coming alone, many with friends, and some with a studio or team. Camp locations are in places where the pace of life is slower, and ADTC has over 13,000 YouTube subscribers. The mission of American Dance Training Camps is “to help you do what you love.”
2026 is ADTC’s 24th summer, and ADTC reports having successfully empowered thousands of girls around the world for over 20 years. The founder is Lindsey Fadner, ADTC ULTIMATE Dance Camp Founder, also referred to as “The Visionary.” ADTC reports an overall rating of 5 out of 5 based on 223 reviews.
Parent testimonials describe campers making new friends, gaining confidence, and returning for multiple summers, including one camper who has attended ADTC in Colorado for 5 summers and another who increased from 1 week to 2 weeks at Lake Tahoe after enjoying the first year. Parents mention strong bonds with counselors and instructors, small group settings where campers get to know each other well, and activities such as girls’ night out, talent night, the day at Boulder Reservoir, kayaking, zip-lining, and the beach. Parents also describe campers learning to pick up choreography quickly in order to put on a show in one week, broadening their experience in many dance styles, and choreographing and performing solos and group dances for talent night and the end-of-week show.
