About

NMB Best Camps & After School offers an After School Program, Break Camps, Summer Camps, Winter Break Camps (Session 1 and Session 2), and activities on Teacher Planning Days. The program also hosts Birthday Parties and Parents Night Out events, and includes Jiu-Jitsu classes and a jujitsu program as part of its activities.

• Ages: 5–12 years old

The program is led by Coach Marcus Aurelio, a former UFC and PRIDE fighter with over 30 years of martial arts experience. The leadership team includes Coach Marcus Aurelio, described as a mentor and leader, and Franchesca (also referred to as Franchesca Manrique), described as the co-founder and heart of the organization and the heart of NMB Best Camps. Its mission is to provide a safe, structured, and inspiring environment where children can thrive academically, physically, and emotionally, and to cultivate confidence, respect, focus, and perseverance through mentorship, education, and martial arts. The program is described as more than just an after-school program, but a community where discipline, structure, and heart come together, and as more than a camp, a family that cares. It blends academic focus, emotional support, and physical growth through Jiu-Jitsu and creative enrichment, and focuses on building confidence, discipline, and kindness through every class, camp, and activity. It combines education, structure, and personal growth to help each student reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom, and is led by a former UFC and PRIDE fighter with over 30 years of martial arts experience. Limited spots are available for the season, and there is an option to book a tour of the facilities.

Parents describe the staff and counselors as amazing, super kind, hands-on, very sweet, personable, and attentive, and say they can tell the staff really cares. One parent shares that this was the first time their son actually enjoyed going to summer camp and that they always feel their son is safe and well taken care of. Another parent notes that the camp felt organized, welcoming, enthusiastic, safe, inclusive, and fun, and says their son thrived and that they will be returning next year. A parent who traveled from Colombia says their daughter reinforced her English by interacting with other kids, gained confidence, and was always excited for the next day. Several parents highlight the jiu-jitsu or jujitsu program, describing it as excellent, fun, and challenging, with skilled and caring teachers, and noting that their child’s confidence and ability to defend herself is improving daily. Parents also mention visits to museums, an exciting trip to the zoo, and say the camp is a fun and enriching experience and one of the best decisions they have made. Multiple parents recommend the camp to other families and praise Marcus and his wife Franchesca, along with the teachers and the rest of the team, for doing a wonderful job.
