About

Summer Day Camp includes activities such as STEM projects, arts and humanities, outdoor games, swimming, art, cooking, sports, and dance. The program also includes character development with a focus on the YMCA core values. Specialty Camps connected to Summer Day Camp offer one-week specialty experiences in areas such as art, STEM, cooking, sports, and dance.

• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Day Camps run as listed county day camps from 7am–6pm, with camp dates varying by location (for example, June 1–August 7 or June 1–July 31), and Specialty Camps run Monday–Thursday in either a 9am–12pm or 1pm–4pm block.
• Price: Cost varies by camp location, with weekly member rates ranging from $160–$210 and non-member rates ranging from $190–$250; a $50 non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee per child per camp site and a $25 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit for each week are required, and Specialty Camps can be added for campers already enrolled in Day Camp for $50 more per week.

Camp registration is available online only, and members receive early access to Summer Camp registration and member pricing must be maintained for the entire duration of camp to keep the member rate. Every two weeks, a new theme is introduced, and in observance of federal holidays there is no camp on June 19 and July 3. Registration for Specialty Camps must be completed in person at the YMCA camp location, and weekly payments are set up as automatic drafts on Wednesdays before the week of care, with children unenrolled on Friday if payment is not made by Thursday. Both the $25 deposit and $50 registration fee are non-refundable and non-transferable, cancellations with at least 7 days’ notice are refunded minus these fees, changing camps is treated as cancelling and re-registering, non-attendance does not result in a refund, no refunds or adjustments are given for partial weeks missed or weather-related cancellations, the YMCA may apply any credit to other outstanding balances, and refunds are issued within 30 days of cancellation. Eric Mann serves as President and CEO of the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, and the organization notes that Camp Immokalee has operated for nearly 120 years as part of the First Coast YMCA, which is marking the YMCA’s 175th year in America. The First Coast YMCA partners with the Jewish Community Alliance in the “Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in Our Community” initiative and runs a Summer of Service campaign for individuals of all ages.
