Dragonfly Field Labs offers hands-on activities such as fire-lighting, lighting campfires, foraging, hiking, plant and animal ID, and nature games. The program includes group lessons in science, ecology, survival skills, marine biology, geology, and bushcraft, along with art and play. Some sessions feature video game inspired activities like “mining” for resources and using sharp blades under supervision.
• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: 2 hour sessions, meets weekly.
Lessons are led by qualified and trained educators, including experienced teachers and experienced Forest School leaders. Staff members are CPR/First Aid certified and background checked, and the program uses small staff ratios of 1:8 with a flexible student-led curriculum. Dragonfly Field Labs offers environmental education and survival skills for youth, with lessons led in the field or brought straight to classrooms and aligned to standards. The program has 5 ★ reviews from both kids and parents.
