About
Children's World offers before and after school programs that include transportation to and from all local schools, after school homework help, and healthy outdoor play in multiple playgrounds. The program includes options for infants, toddlers, Voluntary Pre-K (VPK), before and after school care, and summer camp. All programs are academically enriched and play-based, with a low teacher to child ratio and access to multiple, well equipped recreation and playground areas.

• Schedule: Open Monday to Friday with care available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Children's World operates four modern and spacious facilities with ample classrooms, activity areas, and recreation spaces, and security cameras are in all buildings. The mission of Children's World is to provide a loving, safe, nurturing, and stimulating day care environment in which children can learn. Teachers are described as experienced, compassionate, committed, and passionate about nurturing every child’s development and success, and some staff have a CDA, national CDA, and Director Credentials. The leadership team includes Director Tammie Johnson, employed since July 1, 1988, and Assistant Director Brittany McDaniel, employed in that role since July 27, 2012.
For pickup, parents must list in writing the names of everyone approved to pick up their child, and this list is kept in the child’s file. The center does not release a child based on a phone call unless the person is already on the written list, with the exception that a parent or guardian may fax permission that includes the name of the person picking up the child.
