Dream Oaks Camp

Dream Oaks Camp offers weekend camps, summer camps, day camp, and specialty weekend camps. Weekend camps run Friday evening to Sunday morning and include lodging, activities, and meals for $300 per weekend. Summer camps run Monday morning to Friday afternoon and include lodging, activities, trips, and meals for $700 per week. Day Camp runs year-round, with summer days Monday through Friday and select Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and includes activities and meals.

Programs

• Weekend Camps — Friday evening to Sunday morning · Residential weekend camp during the school year. Lodging, activities, and meal are included. Cost is $300 per weekend. Scholarships are available.
• Summer Camps — Monday morning to Friday afternoon · Residential summer camp June-August. Lodging, activities, trips, and meals are included. Cost is $700 per week. Scholarships are available.
• Day Camp — Year-round; summer Monday through Friday, weekends select Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. · For children not ready to stay the night. Activities and meals are included. Limited scholarships are available.
• Specialty Weekend Camps — Year-round · Family camps or population specific camps, closed to the general public. FFD partners with various organizations.

About the provider

Dream Oaks Camp began in 2000. In 2001, 56 summer campers were welcomed for the first time, and the program now serves more than 700 campers per year. Its mission is to celebrate the abilities and develop the comprehensive skill set of children with special needs and chronic illnesses ages 7-17 by collaborating with families to provide individualized result-based goals and family support in a camp environment.

Parents collaborate with staff to identify two targeted goals for the child to progress towards while at camp. The program is designed for children with special needs including autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, Down syndrome, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, ADHD/ADD, mild to profound intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and Tourette’s syndrome.
