Urban Youth Park was started by Jessica, who is described as a mom, a coach, a lifelong athlete, and a gymnastics coach. The program is described as being built by parents and athletes, with coaches described as the kindest coaches who offer supportive coaching that meets every child where they are. Classes at Urban Youth Park are described as building confidence, strength, focus, and friendships, and UYP programs are described as offering physical, mental, and social benefits. The program operates on P.A.R.K. values: Passion, Adaptability, Responsibility, and Kindness, and Open Gym at UYP is described as connection rather than chaos. Urban Youth Park states that it exists to change the lives of 10,000 families by building 20 communities rooted in movement, growth, and connection. Urban Youth Park is proudly serving families from Nocatee, Palencia, Durbin Crossing, World Golf Village, Ponte Vedra, Beachwalk, Julington Creek, Shearwater, Saint Johns, Ponte Vedra Beach, RiverTown, Fruit Cove, Saint Augustine, and Jacksonville.

Parents describe their experiences in several ways. One parent shares that their son moves nonstop for a full hour and that the young people who work there appear to love what they do. Another parent describes classes, camps, a competition team, and open gym as top-notch, with coaches who are incredibly supportive and know how to guide and encourage kids. Several parents mention the Mini ninjas class, including one who notes that the 4- and 5-year-old class introduces new challenges weekly and another who mentions a 4-hour Mini ninja class that left their child tired enough to take a long nap. Other parents mention that their children beg to come every day, that their three kids have a blast, and that one child would stay all day if allowed, noting the large space and equipment for learning and fun. Families also highlight the homeschool slot from 11:00–12:30 on Tuesdays, with another time on Thursdays, and describe their kids finishing sweaty with great guidance from the coaches. Multiple parents describe the atmosphere as positive and kind, praise the structure and values, and mention that coaches are patient, phenomenal, and provide exceptional care and support.
