Spanish Legacy Academy offers Spanish Language Arts along with Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. Students take part in leadership, entrepreneurship, discovery/STEM lab, integrated STEAAM and STEM projects, gardening, music, visual arts, yoga, practical arts, and integrated arts. Instruction is delivered with a Montessori-inspired, hands-on approach, with 85% of the day taught in Spanish except for English Language Arts classes and select specials.

Spanish Legacy Academy describes itself as Sarasota’s Premier Spanish Immersion Academy and a boutique academy specifically designed to support the homeschool community and those seeking an immersive Spanish language learning experience for their child. Its philosophy is built on developing culturally curious and visionary leaders. The academy offers a personalized learning environment that provides flexibility with academic support and uses a multi-age approach in its Elementary (K–6) program so older students can mentor younger ones. Early Years programs focus on leadership of the self, emotional regulation, curiosity, and the first sprouts of bilingualism. The program emphasizes developing bilingual communicators, independent learners, innovators, critical and creative thinkers, entrepreneurs, resilient achievers, collaborators, and civic and global contributors. A team of native-speaking instructors and seasoned educators brings more than 70 years of combined experience to the classrooms.
