Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County After-School and Summer Programs include educational programming, homework completion time, games and activities, and chances to stay active outdoors. Participants also engage in the latest technologies and, during the summer, take exciting field trips to area attractions.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: After-school hours during the school year, with full-day options on school holidays and in the summer
• Price: For the after-school program, families pay a one-time application fee of $30 as well as a monthly fee.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors led by co-chairmen Bill Allard and Mark Smith, and day-to-day operations are led by Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth Thomason. Each Club is managed by a full-time Club Director and a full-time Program Director, along with numerous part-time professionals. The organization is part of a national network of affiliated Boys & Girls Clubs of America and serves nearly 1,000 children each year through its after-school and summer programming. Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County is rated Four-Star by Charity Navigator, holds a 2025 Platinum Transparency rating from Candid, and is part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which has been recognized by The Chronicle of Philanthropy as “the nation’s #1 youth-serving organization” for 23 years in a row and was named by Consumer Reports in late 2017 as one of the “Best Charities for Your Donations.”
