Camp Challenge

Camp Challenge offers campfires, hiking on the nature trail, swimming, water activities, and a target range, along with a variety of sports, games, and nature walks. Campers take part in drama, music, theater groups, karaoke, and dances, and they share living space in cabins while eating family-style at most meals. The program also includes sensory integration activities at the farm and hands-on arts and crafts projects that use different materials.

• Schedule: Overnight sessions throughout the year

Camp Challenge serves individuals primarily with physical and/or developmental disabilities and welcomes campers aged 6–100 with disabilities. Nursing care is offered for individuals who may need to take medications or medical intervention at times during the day. The mission of Camp Challenge is to offer individuals with disabilities and special needs the opportunity to engage in specific programming that supports exploring interests while enhancing independent living and social skills. Camp Challenge is open to campers from any location, including any Florida county and out-of-state campers, and for many campers it is an annual tradition, with some individuals having attended for over 20 years. Camp Challenge reaches out to people with disabilities and special needs and provides them with opportunities to do things they never imagined possible.
