About
Camp Maritime focuses on a wide range of water sports, including windsurfing, water skiing, surfing, skim boarding, stand up paddle boarding, boogie boarding, and wakeboarding. Campers also take part in boating, kayaking, fishing, tubing, deep sea boat fishing, and time on water slides and a water trampoline.
• Schedule: Summer camp starts June 9th and ends August 15th
Since its establishment in 2017, Camp Maritime has followed a mission centered on the “Water Sports + Safety + Fun = Camp Maritime” approach and offers programs in both Brooklyn, New York, and Sunny Isles, Florida. The camp’s founders have military backgrounds, and the program is described as strict and regimented, with a focus on discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Camp Maritime reports that it has taught over 1,500 campers and offers comprehensive instruction and guidance across its various water sports activities, from deep sea boat fishing to surfing and skim boarding.
One parent, Bistra Zwerman, shared that her child went fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and surfing in one week and described each day as a different adventure. Another parent, Angela Adrar, stated that both of her children loved their one-week experience and that they plan to return. A third parent, Ruth Sufrin, reported that her son, who had not wanted to attend camp, ended up loving Camp Maritime.
