Young Actors Theatre

Young Actors Theatre offers acting, singing, and dancing for students ages 3 to 18. Its classes include Creative Players for preschool and kindergarten, Actors Unlimited for 1st-2nd grade, Rising Stars for 3rd-5th grade, Company Prep for middle school and high school, and Tap 1 for 6th grade and up.

Programs

• Enrichment Programs — Preschool through 5th grade and up to 18 for some classes · Classes begin the week of September 7, 2026; specific classes meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Mondays at listed times
• Creative Players — Preschool and kindergarten · Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30pm; Wednesday, 3:30-4:30pm · $352 per session · Theatre class for preschool and kindergarten students.
• Actors Unlimited — 1st-2nd grade · Tuesdays or Thursdays, 3:30-5:00pm · $412 per session · Theatre class for 1st-2nd grade students.
• Rising Stars — 3rd-5th grade · Thursdays, 4:00-6:00pm or 4:30-6:30pm · $445 per session · Beginning performers class.
• Performers Unlimited — 3rd-5th grade · Tuesdays, 4:00-6:00pm · Prerequisite: minimum of one semester of Young Actors classes or equivalent theatre experience. Students are required to participate in this class for the full year.
• Company Prep — Middle School; High School · Tuesdays, 4:30-6:30pm; Thursdays, 4:30-6:30pm
• YAT Company — 4th-12th grade · Once a week for three hours
• Tap 1 — 6th grade & up · Mondays, 6:30-7:30pm · $320 per session · Introduction to the fundamentals of tap dance.
• Tap 2 — Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm · $320 per session · Tap dance class focused on more intricate rhythms, faster footwork, and exciting new combinations.

About the provider

Young Actors Theatre was founded in 1975. Its stated purpose is to invest in the next generation of talent, create arts advocates, and develop future leaders who can think creatively and critically. The theater says it welcomes 10,000+ audience members each year to its on-site theater, with additional shows for school children and community members at partner events.

Students ages 3 to 18 study acting, singing and dancing. Classes are taught by experienced, innovative instructors. All students must be potty-trained in order to attend class at Young Actors Theatre. Company members attend class once a week for three hours. Students complete one year in the Enrichment program before auditioning for Company. Company Prep and Performers Unlimited require a minimum of one semester of Young Actors classes or equivalent theatre experience.
