Ecology Summer Camp takes place at Archbold Biological Station and includes access to trails and exhibits that are open to the general public. Members of the general public are welcome to visit Archbold Monday through Friday from 9am–5pm. Ecology Summer Camp is described as offering fun-filled weeks for kids ages 7–12.

Archbold Biological Station was founded in 1941 and is described as a world-class natural laboratory in the Headwaters of the Everglades, with nearly 20,000 acres studied by scientists for nearly 85 years. It is described as a one-of-a-kind field station for the study of Florida’s life, lands, and waters, and includes Buck Island Ranch, a 10,500-acre cattle ranch where conservation ecology meets agricultural economics. Archbold’s mission is to build and share the scientific knowledge needed to protect the life, lands, and waters of the heart of Florida and beyond. Archbold is engaged in conservation, science, and outreach, and welcomes visits from the general public. The leadership team includes Director of External Engagement, Tahlia Warrick, and Engagement Manager, Zach Forsburg.
