The Summer Camp Scholarship Program (SCSP) covers full tuition and fees for summer camp at participating camps in Palm Beach County. Through this program, children take part in educational opportunities and recreational opportunities at these camps. Parents choose from participating camps in Palm Beach County that accept the scholarship.
• Price: The Summer Camp Scholarship Program provides full-tuition and fees for summer camp for children residing in families with income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Friends of Youth Services & Palm Beach County, Inc. supports the Summer Camp Scholarship Program as part of its mission to enhance, complement, and provide support for the resources and service capacity of the Department of Youth Services, Community Services, and other select entities in Palm Beach County to meet the needs of underserved and low-income residents of the county. Friends of Youth Services & Palm Beach County, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and is registered with the Florida Division of Consumer Services. The leadership team for Friends of Youth Services & Palm Beach County, Inc. includes Tara A. Finnigan, Esq., Rowena Albury, Karen Christie, Joe Peters, and Selma Verse. Friends of Youth Services & Palm Beach County, Inc. establishes partnerships with various community organizations and groups for requested projects that are community based and meet specific needs for underserved and low-income residents of Palm Beach County.
