iD Tech describes itself as the world’s go-to summer STEM educator, the world’s largest and most trusted tech program, and the nation’s original and most trusted youth STEM educator for kids and teens. The program’s mission is to create life-changing tech experiences that embolden students to shape the future. Each iD Tech experience is led by instructors from universities such as Stanford, NYU, and a lead instructor who is a software engineering undergraduate at Caltech, with a director who is a game design specialist from EA. The organization reports selective hiring practices and intensive hybrid training for instructors, and notes that over 50,000 girls have graduated from its camps and academies.

iD Tech began in 1999, when the founding family launched what they describe as the very first tech camps for kids and teens, starting with 280 students per year and growing to 50,000 students per year. The organization references both 25 years and 27 years of expertise in its materials. The leadership team includes co-founders Kathryn Ingram-Cauchi and Alexa Ingram-Cauchi, first CEO Pete Ingram-Cauchi, and current CEO Tana Barton Haas.

iD Tech partners with BattleBots, NVIDIA, and Mark Rober’s CrunchLabs, and states that each course is powered by iconic partners and exclusive curriculum. The program notes that kids and teens “engineer their bright futures,” that experiences are offered at leading universities, and that each iD Tech experience is led by inspirational, relatable, world-class instructors. Kids ages 7–17 attend week-long Summer Camps at over 75 prestigious universities around the country, teens ages 13–18 attend two-week immersive Teen Academies while living like college students at leading university campuses, and kids ages 7–19 can enroll in personalized Private Lessons.
