iD Tech describes itself as the nation’s original and most trusted youth STEM educator for kids and teens, and as the world’s largest and most trusted tech program. The organization reports that what began in 1999 with 280 students per year has grown to 50,000 students per year, and that over 50,000 girls have graduated from its camps and academies. The leadership team includes co-founders Kathryn Ingram-Cauchi and Alexa Ingram-Cauchi, first CEO Pete Ingram-Cauchi, and CEO Tana Barton Haas, who joined in 2024. The mission of iD Tech is to create life-changing tech experiences that embolden students to shape the future and to equip young people with the skills and confidence to shape the future. Each iD Tech experience is led by instructors from universities such as Stanford and NYU, with a Director who is a game design specialist from EA and a Lead Instructor who is a software engineering undergraduate at Caltech, and the organization uses selective hiring practices and intensive hybrid training. iD Tech states that each course is powered by iconic partners and exclusive curriculum and that it is committed to providing positively outrageous service. The organization plans to offer more scholarships than ever before to students from underserved communities, with a stated goal of helping to bridge the digital divide.
