About
SVB Tennis Academy offers tennis, pickleball, padel, fitness, beach tennis, and volleyball, along with access to massage, cryotherapy, and a salt-room. The program takes place within a larger center that combines a state-of-the-art tennis academy, recreational racket sports, and wellness services.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday with hours from 7:30am–9pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am–3pm
The SVB Tennis and Wellness Center includes 11 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, 5 lit padel courts, and 2 beach tennis/volleyball courts, as well as a restaurant and on-site modern 1- and 2-bedroom student living apartments. The leadership team includes CEO/Owner Pascal Collard and Co-Owner/Director of Academy Andrew Sorrentino, along with directors for administration, pickleball, padel, and fitness, and a front desk manager. Pascal Collard has previously served as a Director of Tennis across Europe, at Saddlebrook Tennis Academy, and at the Merion Cricket Club in Philadelphia, and Andrew Sorrentino has over four decades of coaching experience, including nine seasons as Head Men’s and Women’s Coach at Temple University and more than 20 years as Director of Tennis at Aronimink Golf Club. The center’s stated mission is to provide an integrated approach to physical training, mental health, and overall athlete development, and to carry on Sarah’s legacy of helping young players become the best version of themselves through customized programs focused on physical and mental health. SVB was named USTA’s outstanding facility of 2021 and is described as a place the community calls home. One parent review notes that “the energy buzzing around the center is contagious” and that “everyone from beginners to seasoned pros have one thing in common - a love for tennis.”
