Camp Good Grief

Camp Good Grief is a complimentary day camp where children and teens take part in group sessions and opportunities to share, letter writing and journaling, and recreational activities and play therapy. The program also includes an informal memorial service and special tribute at the end of camp, with campers presenting tributes dedicated to their loved ones. Appropriate meals and snacks are provided during the camp day.

Camp Good Grief is for children and teens who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or anyone who has been important in their life. Camp Good Grief staff is led by a team of grief and loss professionals and receives specialized training on children’s grief issues, and staff are carefully screened. A memorial service is held at the end of camp when campers present special tributes dedicated to their loved ones, and families are invited. The program includes confidence building programs and age-based support that helps kids to break the isolation that grief often brings.
