Building Character Acting Classes For Kids includes theater classes, acting classes for kids, Saturday acting classes, after-school theater and acting classes, and summer and winter break camps. Students take part in warm ups, concentration exercises, sensory exercises, pantomime, improvisation, scene study, character development, interview techniques, audition techniques, and a performance component that includes blocking, creating a character, taking direction, projection, memorization, and handling nerves. The program also offers a Kid's Cabaret, a community theater program, workshops, and school musical and play programs, and the session will culminate with a short performance on Friday.

Building Character Acting Classes For Kids is part of Building Character’s Signature Program, which teaches life skills through theater and play in a fun, non-competitive environment with a focus on confidence, collaboration, and personal growth. The program began in 2008 as a small, local effort and has grown into a community-based theater program that offers production-driven training for all ages. Acting classes take place immediately after school at the child's school, and Building Character offers programs in the Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Roswell and Cumming, GA areas. Building Character is an approved Fulton County Schools Vendor. Building Character offers workshops and school musical and play programs for schools in Fulton and Forsyth counties.
Building Character was created by Whitney Christopher King.
