Center for Puppetry Arts Programs include live shows, puppet shows, workshops, exhibitions, events, and a hands-on museum experience. The programs also offer curriculum-based workshops, Digital Learning, Outreach Programs, Multi-Session Puppet Residencies, International Puppetry Presentation, Preschool Puppetry Playshops, a Foam Puppet Construction Workshop, and Team Building Through Puppetry. In one 2-hour Foam Puppet Construction Workshop for ages 14 and up, participants make a foam hand and rod, moving mouth puppet.

• Schedule: Includes a 2-hour Foam Puppet Construction Workshop for ages 14+; additional live shows, workshops, Digital Learning, Outreach Programs, and multi-session residencies are offered on varying schedules.

Since 1978, the Center for Puppetry Arts Programs have introduced millions of visitors to puppetry through performances, museum experiences, and educational programming. The programs now produce more than 600 performances a year and offer over 50 types of educational programs. The Worlds of Puppetry Museum connected to these programs is home to more than 5,000 puppets and artifacts, including The Jim Henson Collection with puppets, props, and stories from The Muppets, Sesame Street, and more. The programs also use a digital platform that presents programming in all 50 states and 9 countries, including video conferencing and downloadable guides for classrooms and homeschools. Preschool Puppetry Playshops are offered for children ages three to five, and some workshops include puppet-making activities. The Center for Puppetry Arts’ mission is to inspire imagination, education and community through the global art of puppetry, and it states goals to be the premier puppetry center in the world and to inspire every generation. Community involvement connected to these programs includes options for corporate sponsorship, volunteering, and support for puppetry arts and education programs.
