Synchronicity Theatre Education and Outreach Programs

Synchronicity Theatre Education and Outreach Programs offers the 2-Day Creation Workshop, the 1-Day Playmaking Workshop, the Unique Voices Workshop, and the Audition Workshop. In the 2-Day Creation Workshop, participants are paired to write a 2-5 page play on day 1 and are cast in a different play on day 2. The 1-Day Playmaking Workshop has students create short plays based around a theme or idea and perform them for the group, and the Unique Voices Workshop uses theatre exercises for imagination work. The Audition Workshop covers audition strategies, monologues, headshots, resumes, and the business of theatre and film.

Programs

• 2-Day Creation Workshop — Can be adjusted from 3rd grade and up, but works best when participants are grouped by age. · Designed to help participants create and present short plays. Participants are paired to write a 2-5 page play on day 1, then cast in a different play on day 2.

• Audition Workshop — Ideal for middle school, high school, or college students · Workshop with Synchronicity’s Producing Artistic Director Rachel May focused on audition strategies, monologues, headshots, resumes, and the biz of theatre and film.
• Claiming Space as Women Leaders — Interactive session for women using theatrical team-building techniques to develop leadership skills and explore the value of telling their stories.
