Kids Next Code Academy offers hands-on activities in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, drone technology, coding, robotics, engineering, Python and JavaScript, 3D printing and engineering, graphic design, drone and aviation, and game design. The program includes options such as a Robotics & Engineering Program, an AI & Coding Program, a Youth AI, Cybersecurity, and Online Safety Program, and a Youth Tech Boot Camp focused on robotics, AI, and game design.

Kids Next Code Academy Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that empowers youth, teens, and parents in underserved communities by providing hands-on training in emerging technologies, including AI, cybersecurity, coding, drone technology, engineering, and robotics. Its mission is to enrich student learning and provide engaging, interactive, hands-on lessons that enhance problem solving skills and prepare youth to be competitive in a tech driven society. In 2016, Travis A. Reeves started the Kids Next Code organization, and in 2025 Kids Next Code Academy Inc. expanded its mission of delivering equitable, high quality emerging technology education to families across South Fulton and East Point.
The leadership team includes Founder/Director Travis A. Reeves, Program Directors Don Griffin and Jason Sylvain, and Lead Tech Instructor Vanessa Payero. Travis A. Reeves is a software engineer and tech instructor with over 10 years of IT professional experience and 8 years of educator experience, with an undergraduate degree in Information Systems from Georgia Southern (2010) and an MBA from Central Michigan University (2013). Don Griffin has over 20 years of engineering experience, a post graduate degree in Technical Management, engineering certifications from MIT and USC, and serves as Senior Engineering Manager for Lockheed Martin Corporation. Vanessa Payero is a Computer Science student and Math major at Georgia State University with experience in HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript, and has experience assisting youth in tutoring, coding, robotics, engineering, and college and career readiness; she is fluent in Spanish and has prior instructor experience with the Latin American Association. Jason Sylvain is an educator with over 20 years of experience, a music background, and experience as a teacher, administrator, and music coach, including curriculum development, teaching, and administration.
Kids Next Code Academy Inc. offers free and affordable programs, small group classes, and flexible scheduling, with both in-person and virtual classes. Programs are designed for children ages 5–18, with classes tailored to specific age ranges, and include semester or week-long programs and summer camps. The organization provides a comprehensive three-level, three-semester Cybersecurity & Tech Career Training program that includes mentorship, certifications, and real-world internship opportunities, with industry certifications such as CompTIA, Google IT, and Microsoft. Internship and apprenticeship opportunities are available, and programs for schools and organizations include all equipment provided, with course equipment requirements varying by class and listed in each course description.
Through partnerships with local libraries, Kids Next Code Academy Inc. offers year-round workshops that are free and open to the community, training youth, teens, and adults on modern technology and fundamental tech literacy skills. In 2025, through partnerships with the Gladys Dennard South Fulton Library and the East Point Library branch, the organization delivered 57 hands-on workshops, 12 multi-week STEM programs, and served a total of 738 students. Kids Next Code Academy Inc. offers partnership opportunities for schools, libraries, parks and recreation departments, and other community organizations, including co-hosted workshops, volunteer opportunities, donated laptops and STEM kits, corporate sponsorships, grant funded collaborations, and program partnerships, and collaborates with schools, libraries, parks and recreations, community centers, youth organizations, and corporate leaders.
