About
Camp LakePoint includes sports instruction, sports, swimming, water activity time, hiking, and both themed arts and crafts and arts & crafts. Campers also take part in themed science experiments as part of the weekly schedule. Each week features a specific theme and two field trips, including a visit to LakePoint Station.
• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday camp sessions, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with each listed session running Monday–Friday on specific weeks such as June 1–5, June 8–12, June 15–19, June 22–26, July 13–17, and July 27–31
• Price: $295 per week; $15 sibling discount; extended care available for an additional $10 a day, with late arrivals for pickup charged the daily extended care rate of $10
Camp LakePoint offers extended care with drop off beginning as early as 7:00 am and pickup extended to 6:00 pm. Drop off and pick up are done by carline located in the Terminus wakeboard park parking lot. Lunch is not provided, so campers bring their own lunch and additional food for snack breaks, and a packing list focuses on durable, comfortable clothes, a change of clothes in case they get wet, and backup shoes or slides. Field trips include Adventure Air, Cherokee Aquatics Center, Atlanta Zoo, a water obstacle and giant slide (in house), tubing with Euharlee Outfitters, Challenge Island hands-on STEM adventure (in house), a reptile show (in house), Ninja Fit Obstacle Course Facility, and Tommy Johns Magic (in house). The program maintains a staff-to-camper ratio of typically 1 staff member for every 6–8 campers and has a “no cell phone” policy, with electronics secured and returned at the end of the session.
Staff at Camp LakePoint undergo comprehensive background checks and extensive training, including CPR and first aid certification. The leadership team includes Bre Johnson, Director of Programs and Activities.
