Morning Glory Farms / The Art Barn, 4005 Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown, GA 30125
About
Morning Glory Farms gives kids a chance to gather farm fresh eggs, peek into the gardens, explore the hen house to look for green eggs, and create art in The Art Barn. Children meet chickens, ducks, bunnies, lambs, goats, donkeys, horses, and pigs, and learn fun farm facts about each animal and what their job is on the farm. The program includes Barnyard Meet & Greets, Farm to Table workshops, hayrides pulled by an antique ’57 Ford tractor named Matilda, and time to sing a few favorite farm songs.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
Morning Glory Farms includes Mr. McGregor’s Garden, Compost Corner, and the Wild & Wiggly Giggly Worm Ranch, which is under construction. Kids can see what is growing in Mr. McGregor’s Garden for the season, try to count the bunnies, check out Compost Corner, visit the Busy Bee Garden to see where honey comes from, and peek into the Peanut Butter & Jelly Garden to see what is sprouting. The farm also features the Magic Wishing Arch where kids can make a wish for something good for their family and the planet, picnic areas under giant old magnolia trees, and the Friendship Garden where kids can stop and smell the roses and think about someone special to them. The program is led by Farmer Sue and the Art Barn Crew and includes hands on time with all the animals in a safe, supervised, friendly environment. Morning Glory Farms states that families will feel like they are at home with friends and family as they experience what farm life is all about, and it offers learning opportunities for groups of every size, from small family gatherings to field trips for schools of any size, including school field trips on the farm and virtual field trips online.
