Gold Medal Swim Camps offers an Adult Swim Clinic and competitive swim clinics that focus on specific strokes and skills. Participants work on freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, starts, and turns during these clinics.
• Schedule: Adult Swim Clinic on Thursday July 9th from 5:30pm to 6:45pm; Competitive Swim Clinics on Saturday June 20th from 10:30am to 12:30pm (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Starts) and from 1:00pm to 2:45pm (Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Turns). Adult Swim Clinic sessions are 1 hour 15 minutes; Competitive Swim Clinics run 2 hours for the Freestyle, Backstroke, and Starts clinic and 1 hour 45 minutes for the Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Turns clinic.
• Price: Adult Swim Clinic pricing is $150.00. Competitive Swim Clinics cost $150.00 for a single clinic or $275.00 for both clinics.
Gold Medal Swim Camps uses the mission statement “Harnessing the Champion in Every Swimmer!” The clinics are described as focused 2 hour-long clinics that are to the point and full of information, and they are described as providing competitive swimming technique training to beginner to advanced competitive swimmers. The program notes that these are not learn to swim clinics and that families can save money by registering for both clinics at once, with a “Both Clinics (save $25!)” option. The leadership team includes Courtney Hart (also referred to as Courtney Shealy Hart) and Nils Bognar, and the program describes that participants receive individualized attention from former Olympians and collegiate coaches.
Courtney Shealy Hart is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, five-time NCAA champion, and the 2000 NCAA Women’s National Swimmer of the Year. She earned a school-record 26 All-America honors at the University of Georgia and helped lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back NCAA team championships in 1999 and 2000. She competed for the United States at the 2000 Olympic Games, Pan-American Games, Pan Pacific Championships, and World Cup events. She served as head coach of Georgia Tech’s swimming and diving programs from 2009 to 2024, after assistant coaching roles at North Florida and Georgia Tech, and during her coaching career she guided 39 NCAA Championship participants, produced multiple All-Americans and conference champions, and oversaw numerous school records. In September 2024, she became the regional director of development in Atlanta for the University of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Aquatic Hall of Fame and the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame. Nils Bognar is a former Georgia Tech swimmer, team captain, and Glenwood Park Grown-Up Team head coach.
