Camp Ramah Darom is part of the National Ramah Camping Movement and runs programs that bring people of all ages together for immersive experiences in Jewish living and learning. Ramah Darom offers summer camp, family camps and year-round experiential retreats on a world-class, kosher campus.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
Ramah Darom began when a group of supporters met in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1994 to create a new southeastern location in the national Ramah summer camp network, and its first summer of camp was in 1997. Since that first summer, thousands of children have grown up at Camp Ramah Darom. The organization states that its programs inspire a lifelong love of Jewish values, tradition and community by bringing people together for exceptional, immersive experiences in Jewish living and learning at every stage of life. Camp Ramah Darom is accredited by the American Camp Association. Ramah Darom programs receive support from organizations including the Foundation for Jewish Camp, the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, JCamp 180, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the National Ramah Commission. One camper, Emily, age 8, said, “The friendships I made at Camp I know will last forever! I felt so welcomed and right at home!”
