Lionhearts Fitness was founded by OCR Luccketta and shell Luccketta in 2018 as a mother and son endeavor. The leadership team includes shell as Executive Director (Founder), OCR Luccketta as Athletic Director (Founder), and Executive Director Assistant Stacie. Its mission is to empower youth to face fears and conquer obstacles, knowing their worth, building self-worth as well as becoming stronger physically, with obstacle racing, particularly in team racing, used to develop community, unity, strength and empowerment by helping others, with no one left out or left behind.

Lionhearts Fitness is free for all youth, powered by volunteers, and describes itself as volunteers only, not a franchise or a business, but a mission that is for the community, provided by the community, to better the community and to serve the world. The program states that it has no age or ability segregation, focuses on team building with only a small branch of competition, is not competitive and does not present winning as a goal, and competes to bring awareness to its overall mission. It is a no phone zone with zero tolerance for bullying, with only team building and community building, and the only requirement for membership is to participate in monthly community service with fellow Lionhearts.

Lionhearts Fitness reports that it is 100% donation driven and funded, with 100 volunteers, and 100% free for the youth of the community, currently serving North Georgia and East Tennessee. It notes long-time summer camp support from Catoosa County Parks and Recreation and donations of fishing poles and fishing gear from McCarver Family Chiropractic. The program states that it has adopted a creek, fed the hungry, and provided blankets and jackets to local people experiencing homelessness, and that it was built entirely by volunteers and community support.

Lionhearts Fitness reports partnerships and support from Sam Abbitt, founder and owner of Savage Race, and Joe De Sena of Spartan, who have ensured that all Lionhearts race through partnership and sponsorship. It also reports partnerships with LegendBorne Sportswear and OCR Buddy, and major support from RaceReady Obstacles and Fitbar Strong. The program states that it has become the largest Spartan youth team in the world in just under a year and is nationally recognized by elite athletes and adaptive athlete organizations.

Lionhearts Fitness was a finalist in the Chattanooga Best of the Best and, in December 2019, was up for four Best of the Best categories in North Georgia: Gym, Non Profit, Place to Take Your Kids, and Physical Trainer. It reports winning first place in two categories: Best Place to Take Your Kids and Best Non Profit.
