Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley was organized in 1937 in the neighborhoods of Jordan City by R. Curtis Jordan, Sr., and has been in service for more than 85 years. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need the organization most, to reach their full potential as responsible, caring, productive citizens. The organization serves over 2,500 annual club members at seven locations with an average daily attendance of more than 475, supported by over 150 volunteers and more than 80 staff. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley is supported by the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley and is a charter member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Leadership roles include area and unit directors such as Ronnie Bell at North Columbus Boys & Girls Club, Antonio Pace at J. Barnett Woodruff (South) Boys & Girls Club, Brandon Williams at East Columbus Boys & Girls Club, LaTrivia Scott at The CLUB Teen Center, Sophia Brown at Fox Elementary Boys & Girls Club, and Tomika Trimble at the John F. Flournoy College & Career Center. The organization offers pick up from school at multiple club locations, and Boys & Girls Club transportation is provided to and from various schools.
