Growing Room Child Development Centers offers Infant Care, Toddlers, Preschool, Georgia PreK, Florida VPK, Before & After School Care, Extracurricular & Summer Camp, Summer Camp, and Emergency childcare. Growing Room is a franchise system with locations in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Massachusetts. The founder, Sheree Mitchell, is a pediatric nurse and has been named Georgia Small Business Person of the Year and U.S. Small Business Person of the Year. The centers have licensed facilities and secure, nurturing environments with spaces designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence, and they feature rich, print-focused settings that blend language, science, social studies, phonics, sign language, music, and self-help skills. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate for all ages, beginning with infants, and focuses on instilling strong character traits and good citizenship. Teachers are described as passionate and committed to personal and developmental milestones. The program offers enrichment opportunities with themed activities, arts, and outdoor fun in Extracurricular & Summer Camp, and provides a strong partnership with parents, encouraging visits at any time and offering special events such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day breakfasts, Thanksgiving Class Lunches, Diaper Derbies, and Grandparent’s Day, where parents can also visit and read to the children.
