Springer Theatre Academy is connected with the Springer Opera House, which is a professional regional theatre company. The program takes place in spaces that include Emily Woodruff Hall (mainstage), The Dorothy McClure Theatre (The Dot), the McClure Theatre lobby bar, The Emporium gift shop, and the Springer Saloon. Snacks and drinks in cups with lids are allowed in both theatres, and outside food and drinks are not permitted in either theatre space.

The Springer Opera House is over 150 years old and is now entering its 154th season, staging 10–15 productions each year in three different series and hosting 112,000 annual admissions, which is described as Georgia’s second largest audience for live theatre. The building is a painstakingly preserved National Historic Landmark. Wheelchair seating and companion seats are available in both performance spaces, assistive listening devices for shows in Woodruff Hall are available upon request from the box office, and elevator access is available for guests with mobility needs.
