Cohutta Springs Youth Camp

Cohutta Springs Youth Camp provides a summer camp experience where camper communication is supported through daily mail delivery and a structured email system. Camper mail is delivered and picked up from the camp each day, and families can also bring letters and packages to Camper Check-in to be handed out during the week. Emails sent by midnight are delivered the following day, with the last emails of the week printed on Saturday and no email or mail delivery on Sundays.

Since it was chartered in 1980, up to 1400 youth ages 7 to 18 have attended Cohutta Springs Youth Camp for a week or more. Camper packages are limited to two per week per camper, and additional packages can be packed in the camper’s luggage with notes about when to open them. Emails sent after midnight on Friday are not delivered, and the last emails for Adventure Camp are delivered on Thursday. Cohutta Springs’ rules for acceptance and participation are the same for everyone, without regard to race, color, creed, or national origin, and the staff aim to make each camper’s experience a life-changing one, sending them home with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and an uplifted spirit.
