Sportz Center Academy offers basketball, flag football, dance, cheer, soccer, tumbling, after-school programs, tutoring and homework assistance, summer camp, birthday parties, Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball, and virtual learning programs. The Sportz Center Basketball Academy provides ongoing training and development for boys and girls of all ages in passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, and post-work through one-on-one coaching and state-of-the-art technology. Sportz Center Academy also offers a dance, cheer, and tumbling program with daily classes that include activities such as Eight Count, Intro classes, Stunt Routine, Tumble Track 2/3, Mirror/Meditation, Mirror Partner, Trampoline Tucks, Backhand Stand–Cart Wheel, Calm Down/Stretch, and stunts and routines on specific weekdays.

• Price: Purple Pearls Elite Cheer: $75 registration fee and $225 cheer fee; Flag Football: $150 registration fee; Rec Basketball: $150 registration fee and $50 monthly dues; Majorette Dance Team: $25 tryouts, $75 registration, $100 monthly dues (returning monthly dues $75); AAU Basketball: $925 with $75 deposit and $275 monthly fee, uniform package included; Soccer: $150 registration fee; After School Childcare: starting at $85 a week plus a one-time $45 registration fee
Sportz Center Academy has been run as a non-profit for over thirteen years. The organization is led by Constance Chatmon and her daughter, Cherity Chatmon, who operate two facilities with programs that target children, parents who need help, foster kids, and minorities across Decatur. The mission of Sportz Center Academy is to teach each child how to succeed in life, with after-school programs that include tutoring and homework assistance, snack, dinner, coaching, basketball, cheer, and dance classes, and sports and dance programs that are tailored to build character, skill, and safer communities while assisting youth with the development of leadership, life, and academic skills, team spirit, and pride through healthy competition. Sportz Center Academy states that it is committed to providing a safe and educative support system for children and to bringing a safe environment for kids to come to and have fun while learning and growing.
Sportz Center Academy offers summer camp for toddlers ages 3 and 4 and for boys and girls ages 5–14, and every camper receives free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The program offers year-round cheer for basketball and flag football through Purple Pearls Elite Cheer, which includes two practices a week, free tumbling, and items such as uniform, warm-up, hair bows, and socks. Flag football includes a uniform top and bottom, flags, socks, and a soft helmet. Recreational basketball includes eight regular season games, a team outing, practice twice a week, playoffs, a banquet and trophy, with games played Friday through Sunday, and AAU basketball includes four local tournaments, high-level competition, a banquet and trophy, and a uniform package that includes a uniform, bookbag, and shooting shirt. Soccer includes a uniform, two practices, eight games, and playoffs. Sportz Center Academy also offers a birthday party service described as one of a kind and states that it focuses on building friendships and relationships among participants.
Sportz Center Academy reports that it has honored radio shows, received community support for its outreaches, and grown in leaps. Over the last three summers, the organization has provided 300,000 meals to children and families across Decatur and the Metro Atlanta area, including in 2020 providing 1,500 meals daily to hotels and motels, parks, and parking lots, with meals made in its kitchen and delivered by vans across 28 sites in the community. To support these efforts, Sportz Center Academy has hired local basketball players and dancers and opened summer jobs for them to work in sessions with the children.
