Eureka Summer Camp

Eureka Summer Camp offers an Educational Enrichment Summer Camp for grades 1st-8th that integrates math, writing, and literacy skills. The camp also includes From Farm to Fork, a six-week theme with hands-on cooking, science, art, field trips, and academic enrichment, plus daily math, reading, and writing, weekly field trips, a one-hour weekly Food Science Lab, leadership academy sessions, and character development twice a week.

• The Tasty Lab — Hands-on cooking class with no-cook recipes, measuring, mixing, safe knife handling, and plating.
• College and Career Readiness — Leadership group focused on self-discovery, goal setting, career research, college awareness, resumes/bragsheets.
• Kitchen Chemistry Food Science Lab — One-hour weekly class on the chemistry and biology behind foods through experiments and tastings.
• Food Art Studio — Art class using food as a creative medium and inspiration.
• Public Speaking — Class to build confidence and help children articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
• Leadership Academy — rising 8th and 9th graders · Interactive workshops, team challenges, and real-world problem solving focused on leadership.
• Game On! Fitness/Sports Fun — Sports and fitness class with team sports and group games.
• Leadership and Character Development — Character development program that meets twice a week and teaches good character tools and practical life skills.

About the provider

The program is led by Corie Wilson, Founder and Program Director, and Trece Garrison, Co-founder and Program Director. Corie Wilson is a certified educator with a B.A. in Psychology from Georgia State University and an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and she has over 15 years of experience in education. Trece Garrison has over 18 years of experience in education. The mission statement says the program is designed to impact academic achievement and focus on improving the whole child’s academic and emotional wellbeing.

Safety is emphasized. Children are always escorted to different locations and never left alone. Each child has their own container for supplies, pre-packaged snacks are served, and hands are washed throughout the day.
