About
Youth Center offers daily activities such as Torch Club, Keystone Club, Smart Girls, Passport to Manhood, Dungeons & Dragons, dance classes, team sports, leisure activities, outdoor fun, and community service projects. All centers include computer labs, art rooms, pool and ping pong setups, and provide free snacks. Special events include field trips, BBQs, and dances.
• Ages: 11–18 years old
• Schedule: Open after school Monday–Friday, with extended evening hours on Fridays and additional hours on school-out days; closed on weekends and federal holidays
• Price: Programs are free and open to eligible youth registered with Child & Youth Services (CYS).
Youth Centers serve military-connected middle and high school students in grades 6–12. Each center is staffed by caring, trained professionals. Program delivery follows a 5 Service Area Framework that includes leadership and life skills, education and STEM, health and wellness, the arts, and sports and recreation. Youth voices are central to the programs, and teens are encouraged to take an active role in shaping their experience and contributing to their communities. Through partnerships with 4-H and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, youth can participate in nationally recognized programs, earn awards, and attend special events. Family and MWR operates Youth Center as part of its network of support and leisure services for the Army community.
