About
Elachee Nature Science Center Camps & Programs offers camps, weekend programs, seasonal events, standards-aligned field trips, and outreach programs. Children and families can hike forest trails, explore interactive exhibits, meet live animals, and take part in programs such as Sprouts monthly nature play sessions for toddlers, Camp Elachee weeklong summer day camps, Homeschool Programs monthly science-based field classes, and stargazing sessions. Additional options include the Nature Academy full-time school, birthday parties with themed party packages and hands-on nature activities, company events and retreats with guided programs, and activities like Women of the Woods, Wild Wisdom, Sci-Art Saturdays, and Young Explorers Club.

• Schedule: Public visitation hours are Tuesday–Thursday 12pm–3pm, Friday 12pm–5pm, and Saturday 10am–5pm, with monthly Sprouts and Homeschool Programs and 2.5-hour Sci-Art Saturday classes, plus weeklong Camp Elachee summer day camps.
Elachee Nature Science Center has been nurturing curiosity, conservation, and connection for more than 45 years and promotes environmental understanding through education and conservation. Nature Academy is a full-time, Cognia-accredited school that is inquiry-led and nature-based five days a week. Elachee is a regional leader in environmental education that reaches over 35,000 students every year through science-based field trips, in-class programs, camps, and enrichment experiences that align with Georgia Performance Standards. Volunteers support Elachee through trail clean-ups and guiding field trips, donors support its mission, and businesses can sponsor events and programs. Trail access is free, leashed dogs are allowed on hiking trails on Sundays, and in the Chicopee Woods Conservation Area pets, smoking, vaping, tobacco use, bicycles, eBikes, motorized vehicles, horses, hunting or fishing, and removing natural materials are prohibited. Membership includes free general admission, early access to Camp Elachee, and discounts on events.
