About
adidas Tennis Camps focuses on tennis skills such as serves, grip, drop-shots, lobs, top spin, court movements, swing mechanics, forehand, backhand, and rules and scoring. Campers take part in stretching and warm-up, on-court training, match play, match situation drills, instruction, and optional match play, along with fun off-court evening activities such as swimming, teambuilding evening activities, and exhibition tennis matches. Campers are grouped by ability and age, and each camper receives an adidas Tennis Camp T-shirt.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Programs run 4–6 days with options for full or half-day, overnight, and extended day camps; day camps run 3–6 days with about 15–25 hours of court time, and extended day camps typically run 9:00am–8:00pm with lunch and dinner included.
Since 2001, eCamps Sports Network has developed over 100,000 young athletes at its camps nationwide. The adidas Tennis Camps are offered throughout the country in over 20 states, with summer camps and clinics available. Coaches include former tennis pros, proven college coaches, and current all-star college players, and each director has a training program for camper improvement. Staff pros supervise campers for the entire duration of camp and, at overnight camps, stay in the dormitories with campers. Overnight campers stay in dorm rooms with all meals provided, including all-you-can-eat buffet meals, and extended day camp options are offered at most overnight locations. Videotape analysis is available at most tennis camps, and tennis campers bring their own lunch for day and half-day camps, depending on the location. The camp is open to any and all entrants, with a focus on technical skills such as footwork, groundstrokes, serving, volleying, match play strategy, doubles concepts, and tactical skills, and its stated core values are Excellence, Fun, Improvement, Safety, and Sportsmanship. Drugs, alcohol, and tobacco products are strictly forbidden and result in immediate dismissal from camp without refund.
