The Family Y’s PrimeTime Afterschool program provides afterschool care at 27 Richmond, McDuffie, Aiken, Jefferson, Barnwell, and Columbia County elementary schools and 19 summer camp sites. The mission of the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is to serve individuals and families in the CSRA through programs designed to build healthy spirit, mind and body, reflecting the values of the Judeo-Christian tradition while maintaining respect for all people. As a nonprofit, the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta relies on the support of hundreds of volunteers and public and private donors to support and give back to its communities. Each year, the organization provides $2 million in scholarships. Since 2017, 2,100 beds have been delivered through the A Place To Dream Program, and 4,000,000 meals have been provided to children and adults through Cheryl’s Kitchen Food Program.
