Our Giving Garden Camps and Programs take place at a three-acre nonprofit farm and education center. The organization operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm and education center and began as a handful of volunteers behind a local church before growing into its current three-acre farm.
Our Giving Garden Camps and Programs are part of Our Giving Garden’s broader mission to interrupt poverty in the community through fresh food access, education, and green space. The organization was established in 2016 and is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026. Leadership and operations are overseen by a team that includes Founder and CEO Judy Byler, Operations Director Kristin Lemmerman, Programs Director Michelle Kemp, Administrative Assistant Jennifer Pinto, Garden Manager Alison Hoeh, Animal Manager Tina Schwenke, Farm Hand Animal staff member Lital Tzegaegbe, and board members Stephanie Bryan, Jenn Fletcher, Tronica Johnson, Tracy Lowenhagen, John Martzall, Grace McAfee, Bill Pinto, Jen Sands, Mikhail Whitworth, and Janelle Williams Holder. Our Giving Garden serves over 350 people every month, and 100% of what they grow, including fresh organic produce, eggs, and honey, is donated back to the community with no questions asked. They also gather and process other donations such as food items, books, and coats for families in need across the community. Over time, they have grown and donated over 17,000 pounds of fresh produce and farm fresh eggs to their free food pantry and other pantries in the area, have processed and donated almost 30,000 pounds of produce, eggs, and donated food in 2025 alone, and have grown or processed over 30 tons of food for families in need. All proceeds are used to maintain the Giving Garden or to provide donations to those in need within the community, and much of the organization is run by volunteers with limited paid staff.
