About
Compassion Kids and Students offers on-site programming that includes Compassion Kids services and Compassion Students gatherings. Compassion Kids services are described as being packed with energy, creativity, and care, and they take place during church services that include live music with modern Christian songs, prayer, communion, and a practical, meaningful message from pastors. Compassion Students gatherings include middle school Discipleship Groups, student nights, and other events such as hangouts, serve days, baptisms, and bonfires.
• Ages: Birth–18 years old
• Schedule: Sunday morning and evening options, plus Wednesday evening services
The program includes Compassion Kids for children from birth through 5th grade in an environment described as safe, fun, and engaging, where they can discover who Jesus is in a way that makes sense to them. Compassion Students serves 6th–12th grade students in a community where they are described as known, valued, and loved, and are encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus and their community. Middle school Discipleship Groups meet on Sundays at 9AM, and Middle School & High School student nights meet on Sundays from 5PM to 6:30PM. Growth Track in-person meeting times are Sundays at 11AM. Midway campus service times are Wednesdays at 6:45PM and Sundays at 9AM and 11AM, and programming check-in for kids opens 15 minutes before the service starts. Services feature a message that is broadcast from the Henderson location so each Compassion location experiences the same teaching each week.
The church states that its mission is to lead people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus. Events for students, including hangouts, serve days, baptisms, and bonfires, are described as being all about connection and building community that goes beyond Sunday. The Midway campus leadership team includes Phil Fincher, Midway Campus Pastor, and Shamus Kwiatkowski, Midway Campus Connections Pastor.
