Baldwin County 4-H Youth Development

Baldwin County 4-H Youth Development includes activities such as the Belk Charity Sale in spring and fall, Zaxby's Spirit Night Fundraiser, and an Annual 4-H Awards Program. The program offers 4-H County Council for junior and senior members in 6th through 12th grade, as well as Junior Rally Weekend, Senior Camp, Junior Camp, Cloverleaf Camp, Summer Fun Days, and Fall Forum. Additional activities include the Southern Regionals Horse Show, the Great Southeast Pollinator Census Update, and SERV Safe Manager's Certification Training and Exam.

• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: 4-H County Council for junior and senior members in 6th through 12th grade meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month during the school year from August through May, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

The program’s mission statement is: “We translate science of everyday living for farmers, families and communities to foster a healthy and prosperous Georgia.” UGA Extension, which is connected to this program, is a collaboration between Georgia county governments, the USDA, and the University of Georgia's colleges of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences and Family & Consumer Sciences. The program is identified as an Equal Opportunity Institution. Baldwin County 4-H Youth Development uses hands-on learning experiences focused on agricultural and environmental issues, agriculture awareness, leadership, communication skills, foods and nutrition, health, energy conservation, and citizenship, and it qualifies for Master Gardener continuing education credit.
