Summer Day Camp includes day camp activities connected with the Summit Family YMCA, which offers swim lessons, safety around water classes, youth sports, and group exercise. The program is part of a broader set of YMCA offerings that also include a STEM Program with Morgan Stanley and community wellness programs.
The Summit Family YMCA has served the Coweta County community for more than 20 years, and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta has served the community since 1858. Registration for 2026 Summer Day Camp is open. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is the oldest non-profit in Atlanta and reports 2.5 million+ experiences created by its programs each year, with 147,049 facility and program members and 25,611 youth served in early learning, afterschool, youth sports, and camps. The association’s mission states that, reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, it is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body, and that financial assistance is available based on need and the YMCA actively seeks to identify and involve those in need. The Summit Family YMCA’s leadership team includes Shane Gann, Group Vice President & Executive Director, and Erin Hight, Associate Executive Director. The Summit Family Y partners with local nonprofits including the Samaritan Clinic, Sisters for Society, Hoping Forward, Backpack Buddies, and Clothes Less Traveled, and hosts an annual Veterans Expo, a family-friendly community event highlighting military outreach organizations, services, and resources.
